This too: “Most in the UK will be sleeping as polls begin to close across America, and may well wake up to the final result. Citizens here have made their preferences clear: 64 per cent want to see a Harris victory, according to a poll from YouGov last month, while just 18 per cent want to see Trump in office again.”

You are right and we know this is the same country our ancestors were dragged to by pirates. The pirates are still in charge and still loved by the old guard public.

CellyBlue- I do know this! -- As I am on travel, I cannot write much.

YOURS is among the very best, most substantive of columns, and your assessment of Jim Crow and Jane Crow is right on.

Yes, This is America.

Years ago, I would hear books read on the radio, which included diaries of soldiers of General Custer, who spoke of finding villages of First-Nation peoples ABSENT OF WARRIORS, and the Army used the opportunity to murder non-combatants -- women, children, the old.

It was cowardly and it was revolting.

So, if in 2024, race-baiting wins a national election, well, that IS our Nation, America.

The KKK and Jim Crow heritage is not, so far as I can tell, different from Nazism.

You have supporters, and I remain your friend, and together we build a community for "good trouble" (in memory of the loveable man, John Lewis).
