Good Morning Stackers. I know some are in shock this morning. I’m not.
Why?
Because this is America. And. No. It’s not about inflation. Again. Media. Mainstream. Don’t try and spin this to say it is about inflation. Especially since you have not done what you should be doing. Your Damn Job.
This election was and has always been about Racism and Sexism. A Brown person with a vagina. Two things that would get the MAGA crowd and their KLAN off the couch. Yet let’s not just blame MAGA. It takes more then magaats to win this presidency, as the exit polls will show.
This country has three branches of government. Yet no one has been working for the harder for the American Oligarchs and Vlad Putin then the GOP-Republican partty, at this point I’m not even going to say just maga.
Take a look at our Supreme Court. It runs like a political party. It is a political party with unchecked power.
Facts:
As of 2018, the Supreme Court had overruled more than 300 of its own cases. The longest period between the original decision and the overruling decision is 136 years.
How it began -
It started with the Shelby v. Holder decision.
Shelby County v. Holder, legal case, decided on June 25, 2013, in which the U.S. Supreme Court declared (5–4) unconstitutional Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965, which set forth a formula for determining which jurisdictions were required (under Section 5 of the act) to seek federal approval of any proposed change to their electoral laws or procedures (“preclearance”)
And these were cases to follow- in no particular order.
Roe and Casey by a 6-3 decision. If you don’t know what this decision means. You have been living under a rock. Okay. This ruling declares that the constitutional right to abortion, upheld for nearly a half century, no longer exists.
Citizens United v. FEC by a 5-4 decision, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy writes for the majority and says the First Amendment did not permit the government to ban corporate funding of independent political broadcasts during election cycles.
Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council, by a vote of 6-3, the justices overruled their landmark 1984 decision that cut back sharply on the power of federal agencies to interpret the laws they administer and ruled that courts should rely on their own interpretion of ambiguous law.
Shelby County v. Holder is a landmark legal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court declared unconstitutional Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965
More Facts:
This is the country that ended Supreme Court precedent of laws.
The country that overturned Roe
The country that overturned Affirmative Action
Tbe country that gave you Shelby v. Holder destroying the voting rights act
The country that failed to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act
The country that fears DEI
The country that said a president has unchecked power and can send the Seal Team Six to kill His political enemies
Prepare yourselves. Project 2025 is the trump plan. He now has the Senate. He now has SCOTUS. And looks like they will have the house.
Look at the numbers - Look at the states. The United States is a Minority Rule Country. A country where minorities can’t even depend on the courts. Especially the highest court in the land.
The numbers don’t lie!
So. Yes, this is America!
Am I shocked. No.
Disappointed. Yes.
I had hoped America had evolved just a little. The the systemic racism, and engrained misogyny had somehow quelled its thirst. But no it hasn’t.
So. America.
The Convicted Felon is set to be President.
Thank you for for proving me right.
And let the 2nd Civil Rights Movement and the fight for Democracy begin.
