He has led a wonderful life. I hope being VP doesn't suck it out of him.

I get a resilient vibe from this guy. He seems to be firmly grounded in his values.

Could YOU be shaken from your values?

I doubt it.

This is what it means to have integrity. Right?

I live in Minnesota, and I'm proud to say Tim Walz is my governor. He led us through the pandemic, despite huge and unreasonable push back from Republicans in our state legislature. He'll be a great Vice President and assistant to President Kamala Harris!

Thank you for highlighting the country’s “Big Brother” I’ve so aptly nicknamed him.

He’s our National Gem, who fits so appropriately right next to our nation’s “ Auntie Kamala”. I cannot express enough the love and HOPE these two exude!!!

Again, Tim Walz seems like a man with a good soul.

He won me over with the little video calling our Ford for a defective car electrical connector and then telling people how to fix is "...with a part from the local NAPA store...".

Also, just my opinion, but I don't think any elected official should have stocks in companies that are affected by their legislation.

Social studies, teacher not social students teacher… Homeless was not spelled right for Hope‘s job… Hate to be picky Celly but it’s important I think to make sure everything is spelled right and accurate… Happy to proofread!

CellyBlue: One of the most interesting and telling stories you tell here was:

"President George W. Bush was in Mankato to give a speech, and Walz brought a group of children to listen to him, hoping to give them a unique educational experience. But the students were denied entry because they had previously volunteered for the Democratic Party, according to Walz.

“Gov. Walz is known as the ‘Education Governor’ because he has been an unwavering champion for public school students and educators and an ally for working families and unions,” - Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association.

"Last year, Governor Walz signed a bill into law that enabled all K-12 students in Minnesota to receive free school breakfast and lunch, regardless of their families’ incomes. His legislation followed a Covid-era federal waiver that had temporarily made universal free school meals available to all students nationwide during the height of the pandemic; only a handful of states other than Minnesota have made the free school meals permanent"

I'm very glad there are so many people like Tom Walz all over the country. We never hear about most of them, but I do expect them to show up and vote blue in November, because they recognize a kindred spirit!!

CellyBlue -- I do know this! Thank you for reposting.

Having grown up in industrial LA County, the skilled steelworkers of the aircraft industry were unionized, earned a livable wage with fringe benefits and medical care, and saved for a retirement.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows how precarious is the position of labor.

It is no accident that, since Reagan was President, the gap in wealth between the Capitalist and the proletarian widened into a deep chasm.

My wife was an educator for many years. Her income was small. She loved teaching. Thank God for educators. This is a great post. Thank you.

Pundits are STILL lamenting the fact that Shapiro wasn’t Kamala’s pick for VP. Don’t get me wrong; I love Shapiro and feel he has a great future as a national leader. But Walz presents a simple clear cut test for America in my opinion: will American voters appreciate, recognize, respect and vote for a REAL American patriot who is humble, “ordinary” in the best way, compassionate, caring and competent? I pray the answer is YES.

Walz supports teachers’ unions over students, therefore he is not pro-education. He opposes vouchers for needy students; if you believe education is the great equalizer, how many more generations of students will receive worthless diplomas? Aside from his other far left policies, stolen valor renders him unfit for executive office.
