Do We Need Moderators For Debates?
An AI might have done more!
We didn’t need Jake Tapper and Dana Bash for the debate if they were there as seat warmers and time keepers.
CNN could have used an AI generated voice to ask the needed questions and to monitor the time. If they weren’t there to make corrections and fact check leave those seats empty.
The media is suppose to be the Fourth Estate.
The term Fourth Estate or fourth power refers to the press and news media both in explicit capacity of advocacy and implicit ability to frame political issues. The media keeps a check on the three branches of goverment. If they can’t even do that what is the point. The “Fourth Estate” describes the journalists’ role in representing the interests of “the people” in relation to the business and political elites who claim to be doing things in our names. Well on Thursday night I saw no eveidence of this.
We just had a trial where a man who was president worked with a sleazy paper to do Catch and Kill stories and noone blinked an eye. Where are our Thomas Paine’s, Edward R. Murrows and hell even William Randolph Hearst. Somebody to shine a light and not gaslight for a dollar.

Neither one of them did the job they were supposed to do as they didn’t moderate a damn thing. I wonder if they were paid to not moderate? If they weren’t, they were the worst moderators I’ve ever seen.
I found it disgusting how all they could talk about is Biden‘s age after the debate and not how Trump just spouted lies and racist rhetoric. It was disgusting and I am disgusted with our media for not doing their jobs.. so frustrating
