I didn’t know before looking it up, but Wikipedia says Ernest R. Davis was the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy, in 1961.
FWIW - I don't follow *any* sports; always my worst Trivial Pursuit topic. Thus, I have zero clue about any of these. I'd be just as bad no matter what the individuals' race would be. 😎✌
