A recent article in the Atlantic reported that in 2020, two people testified that former U.S. President Donald Trump said in a private conversation at the White House that he needed "the kind of generals that Hitler had ... people who were totally loyal to him, that follow orders."
"I never said that," Trump said in response to the Atlantic article. The Atlantic say they stick by there reporting.
So who you gonna believe?
The Atlantic also reported that when Trump brought up "German generals" to John Kelly, then his chief of staff, Kelly asked whether he meant "Bismarck's generals," referring to the first German chancellor, Otto von Bismarck, the former chancellor of the German Reich who oversaw the unification of Germany.
"I mean, I knew he didn’t know who Bismarck was, or about the Franco-Prussian War. I said, ‘Do you mean the kaiser’s generals? Surely you can’t mean Hitler’s generals? And he said, ‘Yeah, yeah, Hitler’s generals,'" The Atlantic reported Kelly as saying.
Come on people we know Trump didnt know who the hell Otto von Bismarck was. Hell-He probably thought that Franco-Prussian was some type of Russian salad!
John Kelly told the Times that Trump commented more than once that, ‘You know, Hitler did some good things, too,he would usually quash the conversation by saying “nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good,” but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.
First Fact: Hitler was a drug addicted, brutal, homicidal maniac that planned and approved the murder of millions and millions of people. There is no good or redeeming qualities there. Hitler and his Boys were Serial Killers before the term was even defined.

The list is not mutually exclusive, and it wasn’t just Generals.
Finally. It should sadden the citizens of the United States that we elected such an ignorant man who doesn’t even know basic 9th grade history or any history, American or World. What is true is that more than 65 million Americans voted for Trump because they like his “policies”. Right! And only time will tell if fascism and authoritarianism will win out in the U.S.
“A republic, if you can keep it.”
--Benjamin Franklin's response to Elizabeth Willing Powel's question: "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
Only time will tell.
