To my subscribers. Thank you for being patient with me. I have not written in a couple of weeks. We lost our dear sister Lisa Denise and funeralized her last Friday.
The pain of losing a sibling is so profound. I cannot express the sorrow I am experiencing. It feels as if a limb has been cut away.
My parents Lue and Connie have(had) seven children. 6 girl and 1 boy. One a set of twins. Lisa is my older sister. I am number 3.
Being from a military family 5 of us joined the service. 6 of us married a servicemember, All attended college. My parents were big on education and big on the military.
A family born of the 60’s, Civil rights, the Women’s Movement and Eccentricness.
My father could not get a job in Alabama as a Black man who taught science so he moved his family to the Eastcoast to Michigan (Detroit), where he taught 6th-8th grade science.
